Winter Giant Lantern Parade
8th December 2017 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pmFree
Join a magnificent lantern parade on Friday 8 December through the streets of Cardigan from 7pm! Be part of an evening spectacular that ends in a breath taking fireworks display around 8pm.
Well done to everyone who’s taken part in lantern making workshops and helped make hundreds of lanterns. The year’s procession will light up the town in a true celebration of community and the festive season. Spectators will be delighted as we expect this year’s Parade based on The Tale of Taliesin (following the Year of Legends theme) to be bigger.
We hope everyone had the chance to make a lantern at one of Small World Theatre’s Lantern Making Workshop in November. If not, don’t worry, come along and join the crowd. Cardigan’s many shops will be open for late night shopping. Small World Theatre will lead the parade from Pendre to Cardigan Castle where there will be entertainment and a great view of the fireworks display across the Teifi.
If you’ve made a lantern, you will be able to take yours home after the Parade and in time for Christmas. We’re meeting at Small World Theatre between 6.15pm and 6.45pm to prepare our lanterns. Please note that there is no parking at Small World Theatre. Participants and spectators are advised to park in one of the public car parks (behind The Guildhall or Theatr Mwldan).
If you’d like more information, please contact Small World Theatre on 01239 615 952 and speak to a member of staff. If you’d like more information. Our Box Office open times are Tues – Fri, 9.30am – 4.30pm.
